Workers are busy in picking and packing such vegetables as amaranth, cabbage, lettuce and mushroom in the vegetable planting base of Chenzhou City.
For this batch of vegetables, such information as safety inspection and farming operation will be input into the traceability platform of Chenzhou distribution branch center for “vegetable basket” products in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to carry out “code-labelling”.
Later they will be sent to markets in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places, and then to the dining table of citizens in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao.
“We have recently sold an average of 12 tons of off-season mushrooms to the Greater Bay Area on a daily basis. They taste smooth and tender, and are favored by the local people,” said Tian Donghui, general manager of Chenzhou Lvzhiran Agricultural Development Co., Ltd..
The company has developed 17 alpine edible fungi planting bases in the southwest mountainous area through the joint operation mode of “company, collective economic organization, professional cooperative and family farm” apart from its own production base.
Farmers can cultivate and manage the plants in the greenhouses of the company or their own houses according to the production standards.
The products are purchased and sold by the company according to market price, which not only reduces the production cost and risk but also increases the income for prosperity.
In December, 2020, Chenzhou City began to prepare for the construction of Chenzhou distribution branch center for “vegetable basket” products for the Greater Bay Area to provide better service.
It aims to reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides from the source to realize the supervision of agricultural products safety in the certification base, the traceability of the whole production process and the inspection of agricultural products safety at all levels.
The center has successively invested more than ten million yuan to build a command and dispatching center in Chenzhou Agricultural Products Logistic Park according to the plan of “one center and multiple parks” since it was officially put into operation on September 1, 2021.
It has established three collection and distribution parks in Yongxing, Zixing and Yizhang by relying on local leading enterprises and integrating resources, which initially formed a system of quality and safety supervision, collection, procurement and distribution that covers the whole city.
“At present, we have completed the recommendation and certification of 126 bases, with the input rate of 100% for the bases’ basic data, the qualified rate of 100% for the bases’ products inspection and the video access rate of 54%,” said Yang Dazhi, administrative director of the center.
He introduced to the reporter that they not only actively participated in agricultural product fairs and expositions in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, the Greater Bay Area and etc., but also promoted high-quality agricultural products from Chenzhou City.
For example, 600,000 kilograms of Golden Nai Plum were sold at the promotion show with the theme of Golden Nai Plum last year. Besides, the company successively introduced large purchasers including Freshippo, Dingdong Maicai, Nongfu Spring, Yuexiu Group and Yonghui Supermarket.
By the end of 2021, the center had guided the certification base to sell 16,000 tons of agricultural products with the sales volume of 520 million yuan, ranking first among the 17 distribution branch centers in China.
